I created Girlhood as a tribute to the textures and emotions of girlhood, femininity, and childhood. The kit features 50+ original recordings captured with a range of professional microphones—including the Zoom H6, Sennheiser MKH 416, and Rode NT4—and includes three crafted sound designs inspired by themes of memory, solitude, and transformation.
Every sound was edited, embedded with detailed metadata, mixed, and mastered to professional loudness standards (LUFS) for easy integration into any project. Organized by sonic qualities like metallic, airy, plastic, crack, and wet textures, the kit invites users to explore and reframe familiar experiences through sound.
This project deepened my skills in field recording, editing, sound design, and emotional storytelling through audio.
